VC MIPI FPC Cables
MIPI-CSI-2 cables for the connection between MIPI cameras and processor boards have to fulfill the highest requirements in terms of transmission speed and reliability.
Our specially developed FPC cable (Flexible Printed Circuit) is available in three standard variants with 15, 22 and 24 poles, in 60 mm, 100 mm and 200 mm lengths. It can thus be connected to all common single-board computers and CPU boards and makes optimum use of the available power of the MIPI interface.
With four lanes and a processing speed of 1.5 GBit/s per lane achievable by most processors, transfer rates of 6 GBit/s are possible, which corresponds to 750 MB/s with an 8-bit pixel resolution.

Trigger I/Os & Custom MIPI Cables
The VC MIPI cables feature a trigger input and a flash output. They enable video streams as well as individual recordings and do not interfere with the host system. Individual settings such as shutter speed, gain, image size and position as well as binning can be adjusted for each image. Very fast processes can be captured and synchronized with the cables and an external trigger. For special requirements, we develop customer- specific cables with an external trigger output or the option to connect an I/O board.
VC MIPI Cameras with GMSL2
for up to 10 meters of cable length
The VC MIPI® Cameras are optionally available with an adapter directly integrated into the design, allowing fast data transmission via GMSL2 coaxial cables with MMCX connectors. A deserializer is also available. This enables simple connection via the standard MIPI CSI-2 interface for functional models and prototypes.

VC not only offers standard drivers for common platforms, but also develops project-specific MIPI drivers on request, for example for Qualcomm, Media Tek or Rockchip platforms. Which processor board do you use? Simply request your individual driver!
Our standardized lens holders are suitable for S-mount and C/CS-mount lenses. They can be ordered directly with the MIPI cameras. The lens holder is also compatible with our Compute Module Interface Board.

It handles complex image pre-processing, such as color space conversion, barcode identification or data fusion - directly in the MIPI data stream. VC MIPI Repeater Board for up to 5x Cable Extension
The VC MIPI® Repeater Board allows FPC cables to be extended up to 5 times their standard length and provides additional interfaces, such as a trigger input and a flash trigger output. This enables quick and easy integration of external triggers and lighting without impacting the host system.
VC Compute Module Interface Board for Raspberry Pi
The VC CMI board is specially designed for the Raspberry Pi® Compute Module 3 and 3+. Form factor and connectors are optimally matched: You can simply plug on your Raspberry Pi®. Holes for mounting MIPI camera module and lens holder are also provided.

LED Ring Light
The LED ring light with 12 high-performance LEDs provides optimum illumination for your embedded vision application. The ring light is available in two versions: with infrared LEDs at 850 nm and with red LEDs at 656 nm. It has a simple plug-in connection.
The VC MIPI® CMI Board contains two LED controllers with 1.5 A each to integrate the lighting.
MIPI Cameras with Polarization Filter
Our MIPI camera modules with optional polarization filters offer an efficient solution to reduce glare and reflections with optional polarization filters. This enhances contrast and delivers better image results, even onf shiny surfaces. The filter foil is applied directly onto the sensor package. The angle and direction of the filter can be determined.
For applications requiring multi-directional filtering, we offer VC MIPI Cameras with Sony sensors IMX250MZR and IMX252MZR on request. These sensors filter light from four directions.

VC MIPI CAMERA MODULES WITH POLARIZATION FILTER
Reduce glare and reflection
Reflective and very shiny surfaces are a challenge for imaging sensors. We therefore offer our MIPI camera modules with an optional polarization filter that reduces reflection and glare and increases the contrast of the images. The filter foil is glued directly onto the sensor package of the modules. The angle and direction of the filter can be determined.
This method, in which light is absorbed from one direction, is significantly less expensive than solutions with polarization filters on the sensor array and is still sufficient for many applications.
For special applications where multi-directional polarization filtering is required, Sony's specially designed IMX250MZR and IMX252MZR image sensors are ideal. They can filter light from four different directions.
