Embedded Vision forms the foundation for integrating optical sensors and image processing directly into devices. Instead of relying on power-hungry industrial PCs, highly efficient VC MIPI Camera Modules are connected to compact processor boards. In addition to this modular design, complete systems that execute image data processing directly on the hardware are also used. This so-called edge processing—meaning analysis directly at the data's point of origin—is the core element of embedded vision solutions. 

 

The MIPI CSI-2 interface has established itself as the universal standard for connecting cameras and processors. For long-term success, uncompromising industrial quality and reliable long-term availability of components are crucial.

Classic fields of application for embedded vision technology lie in industrial automation and quality control. The technology is also widely used in driver assistance systems, traffic monitoring, medical technology, and smart farming. Thanks to rapid advances in edge processors and artificial intelligence, embedded vision is also increasingly finding its way into smart household appliances and other professional electronics. VC MIPI Based Solutions prove their reliability even under the most extreme conditions—ranging from humanoid robotic systems to deployments in space.
