Vision Components reduces the price of its VC MIPI IMX900 Camera Module. The color and monochrome versions are now permanently available at a volume price starting at 94.99 euros. VC is thus passing on cost savings in purchasing and production, made possible by high demand, to its customers.
In addition, the company is presenting two new VC MIPI FPC Cables with lengths of 300 mm and 500 mm. The 22-pin cables for connecting MIPI CSI-2 cameras and processor boards complement the existing variants with lengths from 60 mm to 250 mm, as well as the recently introduced cable with external input/output for trigger and flash.

Easy integration without adapter
The global shutter camera VC MIPI IMX900 is based on the 3.2-megapixel Sony IMX900 image sensor and was developed specifically for industrial applications. The ultra-compact camera module can be integrated easily and flexibly and delivers high image quality even in low light environments. It is suitable for the detection of barcodes and other markings as well as for universal applications in quality assurance, robotics, and many other fields. As with all VC MIPI Camera Modules, no additional adapter board is required to connect the camera to a processor board.
New MIPI cables up to 500 mm in length
VC's plugless, robust and cost-effective FPC Cables, which allow MIPI cameras to be directly connected to a processing unit via MIPI CSI-2, are now available in the new lengths of 300 mm and 500 mm. They complement the existing cables in lengths of 60 mm, 100 mm, 200 mm, and 250 mm.
Vision Components also offers a standard cable with connector board for external trigger input and flash output in a 200 mm length, as well as solutions with micro-coax and GMSL2 for variable cable lengths of up to 10 meters. On request, the company also develops custom cables and takes on customer-specific adaptations. All cable options are part of the VC MIPI Bricks system and are compatible with the manufacturer's 50+ camera modules.
